The use of the English Language on the Web

English language is the most widely used language on the web. When closely observed, we can find that though not officially registered, English is the considered to be the universally accepted language of web. There are various reasons attributed to the acceptance of English as the common language of the web. The main reason can be the importance of English spoken countries on the economical and political map of the world. The importance given to these countries by the rest of the world has exerted a great impact on using English as the language of the web. Thus the knowledge of English is extremely useful while dealing with various aspects of internet. Though English is not always comfortable for communication between people, English continues to be used by most of the websites. This will continue as such unless a major change happens in the economic and political life of the world. They will have to come up with another language that can substitute English and aids for the popularity of internet among people.
 
Though most of the people love to speak in their native language, when it comes to submission of a research paper or a presentation, they will have to do it in English. This is the most common use of English language on the web. It will be difficult if these papers are presented in some local language in internet. Documentation of important incidents is a major problem that has to be done with care in the World Wide Web. Internet is gaining high importance in trade, entertainment and marketing and anything and everything concerning daily life. This has laid an importance on the people to learn to use internet services. This often becomes difficult if the internet is using some local language which most of the people are ignorant about. So to get publicity, World Wide Web is forced to use a language which is more familiar among a major section of the society. Business parties find it difficult to make money when the transactions are done in some other language which people are not that familiar with. To attract customers, they are forced to use languages which they expect a higher percentage of people might know. Since local languages have various dialects, a communication in any of those languages might seem difficult. The exact meaning or sense is not conveyed properly by using any other language. Though English also have these problems, English has a common form of writing which everyone can easily make out.   
It is difficult to set some official language for Internet. Internet is not controlled by anything and there is no written rule to use English widely as the official language. There are chances that English might loose its popularity as well. Amidst these restrictions, English find great uses on internet.
